OMRON Awarded “Prime” in ISS ESG Corporate Rating for the First Time

OMRON Corporation (Head Office: Shimogyo-Ku, Kyoto. President and CEO: Junta Tsujinaga, hereinafter referred to as OMRON) announced today that it has been selected by the responsive investment division of Institutional Shareholder Services, Inc., one of the world's leading proxy advisory firms based in the United States, with “Prime” for the first time.

“The ISS ESG Corporate Rating” aims to assess the entire value chain on ESG risks, opportunities, and impacts. It takes the double materiality approach to evaluate companies’ sustainability performance, and recognizes the highest-rated companies as “Prime’” performers by industry sector. The Rating is used by investors to assess companies’ ESG-related risks, opportunities, and impacts. The Rating highly evaluated OMRON's initiatives and information disclosure in the health and safety, human rights, and eco-efficiency areas, placing the company as ‘Prime’ in the electronic components industry.
